Baby sling - Cotton

The Pure Baby Love baby slings are made of high-quality 100% cotton. The baby slings are cuddly soft and extremely comfortable for your child.
 

Washing instructions

Before you start using the baby sling, you should wash it first. We always advise to wash it as cold as possible. Although it can be washed on 40 degrees, colder is recommended to preserve your baby sling.

Don’t use too much detergent. Too much detergent affects the fabric and makes it stiffer.
 

Baby sling - Drying

The Pure Baby Love baby sling can be put in the drier. Always pay attention to temperature. Hot drying causes shrinking and friction of the fabric. Sometimes, especially older driers dry warmer than the program indicates.

Hard water

Some areas have ‘hard’ water. Hard water makes the baby sling stiffer. You can add a splash of vinegar. In addition, vinegar contributes to optimum colour preservation as well. 

Ironing

Ironing is not required but makes your sling fully elastic again (after washing and drying).
Of course such a long sling takes some time, but feels extremely comfortable. 

What if something went wrong?

Did your sling shrink? Then iron it properly. Usually, there are plenty of possibilities left to tie it. A baby sling, provided there are no worn spots or defects, always retains its carrying capacity.

There are various levels: A basic training, an advanced training and a certification training. After the basic training a babywearing consultant is able to give a consultation. After the advanced training, a babywearing consultant can give workshops and advice in special situations.

A babywearing consultant can teach you how to tie a baby sling. In addition she can help you to choose the perfect baby carrier for you.

Babywearing consultation

Usually, a babywearing consultation has a great added value. You will learn the tricks of the trade. Afterwards you will have more fun carrying your baby. You can always plan a consultation, for example if you just started carrying or if you want to learn a new tying option.

The costs of a babywearing consultation vary from €45,00 to  €55,00 per consultation (approx. 1,5 hours).

A woven baby sling is much more than just a piece of fabric.

The word ‘woven’ says it all. This baby sling has a special weave. It might be a cross-cut weave or for example a jacquard weave. These specific weaves don’t create stretch in length or width, yet they do create a beautiful diagonal stretch and ensure a perfect fit for your baby.

These woven baby slings are extremely safe. Even if it has a small hole, it won’t tear immediately, in contrast with a normal piece of fabric. For this reason we strongly advise you not to create a baby sling out of a normal piece of fabric. In addition, normal fabric will cut in your shoulders or in your baby’s back of the knees. It doesn’t contribute to wearing comfort.

Several materials can be used to weave a baby sling. For example 100% cotton or a mixture of cotton with bamboo, hemp, linen or wool. A cotton baby sling offers is comfortable and washable.
